ABOUT

This trust aims to elicit excellence in education and improve the teaching-learning experience. The core aim of the trust is to introduce "Experiential Learning" at every level of the formal education process. It aims to enable the teaching fraternity with a platform to collaborate with teachers from national and international schools for joint work to improve the learning ecosystem.

Our Vision

Towards excellence in education

Our Mission

Introduce experiential learning to all strata of formal education
Identify and encourage the best teachers and practices
Collaborate and publish research articles on the impact of experiential learning

PROGRAMS

Our mission is to introduce experiential learning to all strata of formal education. Out of the many possible methodologies, we also encourage STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) adoption and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) utilization. We work towards improving the literacy rate and bridging the digital divide.

We are running three programs,
1. Engage: Teachers training program for adoption of ICT, Experiential learning (ATAL Tinkering Lab)
2. Encourage : Excellence in Teaching Award and Organising the science exhibitions
3. Excel: Teachers exchange program with national and international schools to share the best practices

We have started our pilot project in Gadag district, Karnataka. The literacy rate in Gadag is less than the national average and lags much behind in the quality of education, specifically STEM adoption and ICT utilization. We are working with district-level education offices like DDPI, and DEIT, and also working with local colleges to build a self-sustaining ecosystem. Our eventual goal is to start a school based on Veda and Vigyan where all learning happens through experiments and a self-awareness lifestyle.

Encourage Program: Excellence in Teaching Award

1. Student Feedback: Top 10 faculties
2. Publication or Funding: Minimum 1 (preferably with students)
3. Expert lectures or/and articles in print media: 2 (1 internal + 1 external)
4. Personal Interview
Category 2: School (6th to 10th standard) - Selection Process
1. Pragna : Depth of knowledge (Lecture)
2. Prayoga : Experimental knowledge (Demonstration)
3. Parinama : SSLC results
4. Prabhava : Influence on students and school

Engage Program : Experiential Learning
1. Short term: Workshop
2. Long term: Establish laboratories and carry out Projects

Curiosity to know drives us to explore, and it is the base of learning. Which eventually builds a knowledge base for the self and humanity.
Is there any way to cultivate curiosity? Inculcate curiosity??
- Methodology/Pedagogy (Design Thinking and Critical Thinking)
- Wonder instruments

Methodologies :
1. Scientific method: Make an observation -> Ask a question -> Gather background information -> Establish a hypothesis -> Test your hypothesis by conducting an experiment -> Observe the experiment results -> Analyze the results -> Draw a conclusion
2. Zero information: The teacher acts dumb to make the student think on topic with the series of questions. This makes the student the owner of that thought. In some cases, half information needs to be shared.

Wonder instruments:
1. Magnets   2. Force gauge   3. Lenses: Convex and Concave   4. Measuring Tape, Scale, Screw gauge   5. Clock, Digital Clock, and stopwatch   6. Microscope and Telescope   7. Pendulum   8. Balls of different sizes (Tennis and Volleyball)   9. Human body anatomy   10. Globe and World map   11. DC Motors and AA Battery   12. Thermometer (mercury-based)   12. Pulley and Lever   13. Desktop computers with internet
